Renewing your licence?

Currently The SIA is advising us that licence renewal is taking between 6 and 9 weeks to process. Just because you have had a licence does not mean you can allow it to expire before your new one comes through. If you do so you will be committing an offence. The message is clear "Make sure your application goes off on time and correctly completed".

"Rights to Work"

The SIA are advising us that “Rights to Work” checks are the responsibility of the employer and we wholeheartedly agree with that. At a recent audit we are told that you also need to “have evidence” for ALL employees. This includes British citizens born in The UK. The question arises how do you know they are British? What happens if they do not have a passport?

Approved Contractor Forums

At a recent Forum it was pleasing that other companies are happy to share "best practice" around the table. At Rose UK we have linked up with another ACS company to cross check our controllers safety by making check calls to their Control Centre. This is a no cost basis because the following week they make the check calls to us!
